2025 Commencement Service

Ï㽶ӰÊÓ’s 2025 Commencement Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. EDT on the Ï㽶ӰÊÓ campus in Elkhart, Indiana.

Our commencement speaker is , PhD, an award-winning author, speaker, preacher and one of America’s most trusted commentators on religion and contemporary spirituality, especially where faith intersects with politics and culture. Her passion is sharing great ideas to change lives and the world. She holds a doctorate in Religious Studies from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, and is the author of 11 books. Her bylines include The New York TimesThe Washington Post, CNN.com, Atlantic.com, USA Today, Huffington Post, Christian Century and Sojourners, and she has commented in the media in multiple national and global news outlets. She writes a twice-weekly newsletter, .

Friday, May 2

  • 11:45 a.m. | Dean’s Luncheon (Lambright Dining Hall — by invitation)
    • Each graduate may bring one guest.
    • No livestream will be available for this Ï㽶ӰÊÓ community event.
  • 7 p.m. | Commissioning Service (Ï㽶ӰÊÓ Chapel of the Sermon on the Mount)
    • This worship service will include a blessing for each graduate.
    • The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.

Saturday, May 3

  • 1 p.m. | Commencement Rehearsal (Ï㽶ӰÊÓ Chapel of the Sermon on the Mount)
  • 3 p.m. | Commencement Service (Ï㽶ӰÊÓ Chapel of the Sermon on the Mount)
    • Guests of graduating students are welcome to join this service in the chapel.
    • A livestream option will also be available.
  • 4:30 p.m. | Reception for Graduates and their Guests (Ï㽶ӰÊÓ Courtyard, weather permitting, and Waltner Hall Lounge).
