Ï㽶ӰÊÓ’s Practical Leadership Training modules are designed to help leaders increase their capacity to provide effective Christian leadership in congregational and community settings. You can select the modules best suited to your interests and needs.

Ministry Reflection Circles (formerly Ministry Integrity Circles) are for experienced pastors who would like to reflect more deeply on current ministry challenges with the support of peers and consultants. Participants will deepen their pastoral identity, understanding and practice through writing and sharing reflections, receiving feedback from others in a facilitated process, joining in times of worship and learning from trusted consultants.

Our Doctor of Ministry in Leadership (DMin) provides you with the opportunity to strengthen your leadership via an Anabaptist framework.

Ï㽶ӰÊÓ’s Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Direction (GCSD) provides you the opportunity to explore practices that shape your understanding of spiritual direction. Specifically, the certificate blends an interdisciplinary encounter with theological education with a significant experiential component.

Ï㽶ӰÊÓ’s Graduate Certificate in Theological Studies is designed to provide professionals, congregational leaders, and bivocational pastors with a foundation in theological and biblical study, spiritual enrichment, and fuller integration of Christian faith into their work and ministry. Requires 21 credit hours (recently lowered from 27 credits) and can be completed in one year with full-time study or over the course of several years with part-time study, including online and hybrid courses.

The Master of Arts: Theology and Peace Studies (MATPS) degree prepares students interested in careers and scholarship at the intersection of theology and transformative peacebuilding. (On campus only)

The Master of Arts: Theology and Global Anabaptism (MATGA) can be completed either on campus or fully online. An academic degree that prepares scholars, teachers, pastors and leaders to integrate knowledge of and formation in the Anabaptist tradition with service in their current and future communities.

The Master of Arts in Christian Formation (MACF) prepares students for ministry in spiritual formation and guidance, teaching ministry and worship. This degree is not intended to prepare people for independent ministerial leadership of the congregation. (On campus only)

At Ï㽶ӰÊÓ, students may take up to two courses for credit without having been admitted to one of our degree or certificate programs, with a limit of one course per term. If you are not an admitted student at Ï㽶ӰÊÓ and are not enrolled at another seminary, college or university, your first Ï㽶ӰÊÓ course for credit is 50% off regular tuition rates.

Transition to Leadership supports new pastors in the transition from seminary to ministry. The program seeks to ensure that seminary graduates in pastoral ministry assignments have a pastoral mentor with whom they meet once a month for at least two years of ministry. The program also includes two in-person gatherings each year for all participant pastors and their mentors

Spiritual Direction: Wisdom is the next level of our supervised program for those who want to become spiritual directors or to make spiritual guidance a part of their ministry. Spiritual Direction: Mystery and Spiritual Direction: Wisdom are offered on alternating years. You can take one or both parts in any order. Spiritual Direction: Wisdom focuses primarily (although not exclusively) on the perceptive insights and concrete skills that we spiritual directors bring to our work.

Spiritual Direction: Mystery is the next level of our supervised program for those who want to become spiritual directors or to make spiritual guidance a part of their ministry. Spiritual Direction: Mystery and Spiritual Direction: Wisdom are offered on alternating years. You can take one or both parts in any order. Spiritual Direction: Mystery focuses primarily (although not exclusively) on the ineffable presence and activity of God as experienced in the lives of directees.

Spiritual Direction: Foundations is the first level of our supervised program for those who want to become spiritual directors or to make spiritual guidance a part of their ministry. It’s offered fully online or in hybrid format (in which instruction takes place both online and on-campus) in alternating years.

Similar to the US/Canada program, but can be completed over video from a distance without coming to the US.

A certificate program that develops leaders centered in Jesus Christ for ministries in local churches and communities. The two-and-a-half to three-year Journey program is designed for pastors, those exploring a call to ministry, church planters, and other congregational lay leaders. Through out the program, learners will find a rhythm of group and individual learning that includes a combination of online study, bi-weekly meetings with a mentor and face-to-face gatherings. The curriculum of the Journey program will help you name and develop strengths in six areas: spiritual disciplines, theological and biblical studies, character development, mentoring and community, gift development and leadership skills.

Online Short Courses are six-week, online courses to deepen participants’ understanding of Anabaptist history, thought and witness.

A conference on land and Christian discipleship that weaves together worship, theology, biblical study and praxis.

An annual gathering of pastors and congregational leaders (chaplains, regional conference/denominational leaders, community leaders) who meet together to connect, worship, learn, and be inspired for our ministries.

Single course, usually includes travel component. This course will explore the spiritual, ecological, and socio-political dimensions of decolonization as a process of inner and outer transformation. Students will learn about the ongoing impacts of settler colonialism under the Doctrine of [Christian] Discovery in what is now the U.S. and will consider reparative responses in light of Jesus’ call to Jubilee justice. We will focus on two narrative loci for deeper engagement with the Doctrine of Discovery: 1) students’ family stories of connection or disconnection with land; and 2) the stories of Potawatomi Nations with ancestral ties to land in northern Indiana.
