Practicing and Embodying Nonviolence HTE664 / B

This course focuses on helping students learn and/or further their skills as reflective practitioners who integrate knowing, being, and doing in service of their commitment to peace theoethics. Using the biography of Fred Rogers as a starting point, this class brings the ancient question “And who is my neighbor?” into contemporary focus. This class is also a laboratory for critical reflection practice where students will learn the basics of nonviolent communication, Confessional Bible Study, and circle process. Open to all students, this course is recommended before the MATPS Internship.
